About Isaiah's Adventures

Isaiah's Adventures are children’s books about a little boy named Isaiah who goes on various adventures, learns new things, and is sure to have fun along the way. The idea for the book series comes from an actual little boy named Isaiah, who loves reading and learning new things.  Witnessing his sweet fascination with learning, probed the desire to write books with characters that looked like him, for him and all children.

Isaiah's Adventures are not solely about adding diversity to your children’s libraries, but also about black and brown kids being able to see themselves and relate to the content they are seeing, reading, and enjoying.

Author Adrian Holsendolph has always been a passionate storyteller through her ability to use her expressive personality, colorful language and sense of humor to keep anyone who listens on their toes; but she never envisioned herself becoming an author until she was inspired to write children's books by her young nephew, Isaiah.

Observing Isaiah's love for learning at the age of two inspired Adrian to write about him. She knew that he would be excited about seeing himself reflected in a book and utilizing his active imagination in the character's literary learning adventures. Adrian is looking forward to writing more books about Isaiah and gifting other children with fun, inclusive and educational reading material.

Adrian currently lives in Nevada where she is a veterinarian at an animal shelter and the owner of Comforting Touch Pet Euthanasia & Hospice.  While much of her time is devoted to her patients and clients, Dr. Holsendolph continues to evolve in her creative area of interest - a children's book author.

Reviews

My 4 year old son loved Isaiah's story and it relates well to similar frustration he has as a growing toddler. We look forward to all the future adventures of Isaiah!

What a sweet little book! I sent the paperback version to my little five-year-old grandson and he loves it! He reads it over and over. I am looking forward to sending my grandson more books in this new series.

We enjoyed reading this new addition to our home library! This book kept my very active son's attention! Can't wait for other books by this author!
